* doc/spec.txt: add message warning people not to use mailing lists for
exim 3.x support queries (Closes: #295713)
* debian/README: mention that exim 3 is obsolete, ask people not to
use mailing lists for support queries, and mention debian mailing
list instead (Closes: #295844)
* debian/postinst: tell people exim 3 is obsolete on new installations
or upgrades from woody versions
* debian/postinst: only chown databases if db directory exists (Closes:
#297897)
* src/readconf.c: validate pid_file_path to avoid security problem (note
that this is only a security hole if you don't trust someone who has
an exim admin, which is unlikely) (Closes: #171774)
* debian/postinst: run db3_upgrade on all hints databases. Do this
always, because I'm not sure exactly which versions require it, and if
it's not required it's harmless (Closes: #248622)
