* new upstream release, including a security fix (at 2.0-12).
Closes: #140144: Bypassing libsafe format string protection
* [control, rules, postinst, config, templates] now requires debconf and
ld.so.preload-manager; asks whether to configure libsafe into ld.so.preload;
default is still 'No'.
Closes: #132480: unconditionally removes libsafe from ld.so.preload
* [rules, Makefile] modified to use correct library version number (now and
in the future).
* [rules] disabled the 2.0-8 s390/powerpc patch, because the upstream source
has changed incompatibly; all traces of the patched code are gone, and
I don't want to spend time investigating how it changed and whether that
will work correctly on s390/powerpc systems. If the problem reappears, the
build daemons will let me know and I'll address it then (old bug #127472).
* [rules] moved the i386 exploit examples from usr/share/doc/libsafe/examples
to usr/lib/libsafe/examples and symlink them per policy -- thanks, linda!
