Description:
routeplanner - A highway trip planner
Changes:
routeplanner (0.2) unstable; urgency=low
.
* The "Insomniac Music Theater" release.
* grplan:
+ Double-clicking an entry (or clicking on "Change...") in the route
list properly passes the current city to the dialog.
+ Double-clicks now avoid generating an IndexError when the stars are
misaligned. (Gtk/Gnome's double-click handling bites.)
+ "Save as" and "Print" now work in the Routing window.
+ Preferences now work.
+ This means grplan now does everything the original AmigaOS
"RoutePlanner" did.
* Better unit handling; also added support for true Imperial measures
(imperial gallon = ~1.2 U.S. gallons).
* Speedup: we precompute a metric distance for each route as the
database is loaded, and use it for routing.
* Correctly report the number of cities in the databases in rplan and
rpcli.
* Database updates due to highway upgrades:
+ CA 215 renamed I-215
+ CA 15 renamed I-15
* Because of the repeal of the NMSL (National Mandatory Speed Limit),
rethought the whole "Rural Freeway" thing. All rural freeways are now
type 2. Type 10 (Rural Freeway 55) is converted to type 2, -10 MPH.
* Routes can have individual speed variances that do not affect their
class. Set a non-zero speed to do this. This will help with the
issue above, and also deal with places like Texas that have 70 mph on
2-lane rural highways.
* Converting the route to text is now done by rpdbase.FormatRoute, to
avoid needless duplication.
